Role Overview

We seek a dynamic Vice President of Finance to become a core contributor alongside founders and leadership, driving the financial growth and operational success of BlueThrone. This position demands a proactive business partner who provides strategic financial insight, leads financial planning and analysis, and underpins decision-making with rigorous data.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain the corporate-wide financial model, budget, and continuous forecasting processes.
• Translate portfolio app data into actionable unit economics metrics such as lifetime value, payback period, cohort profitability, and return on ad spend for leadership review.
• Collaborate closely with founders and COO to determine capital allocation strategies for app investments and acquisitions.
• Define and deliver relevant key performance indicators to assess financial model effectiveness.
• Lead financial due diligence, underwriting, and modeling of acquisition deals to support negotiation and closure.
• Drive the financial integration of acquired applications post-acquisition.
• Manage relationships with banks and lenders; oversee debt financing strategy for acquisitions including structuring and refinancing.
• Prepare and present investor board reports and aid future funding initiatives.
• Ensure consolidated group financial reporting and compliance across multiple legal jurisdictions.
• Oversee treasury functions, manage cash flow and payments infrastructure, and maintain internal controls and authorization protocols.
• Direct tax planning and compliance including transfer pricing, VAT, withholding taxes, and international structuring.
• Maintain audit readiness and lead reporting to financial, legal, and regulatory bodies globally.
• Lead and mentor the finance team, including group controllers and office managers, fostering a culture of clarity, accountability, and collaboration within a global remote setting.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) credential.
• Extensive experience in financial leadership within mobile applications, consumer subscription, or B2B technology subscription sectors.
• Proven expertise in financial planning and analysis (FP&A) and controlling multinational entities.
• In-depth understanding of international business operations, multi-entity financial and legal frameworks.
• Strong skills in financial modeling, forecasting, and strategic financial planning.
• Detail-driven and actively engaged in hands-on financial work.
• Exceptional communication skills suited for a remote and asynchronous global team.
• Innovative mindset with a track record of designing and implementing new financial systems and processes.
• Legal background or relevant experience is advantageous.
• Availability to work flexible hours to coordinate across Asia and Europe time zones.

Collaboration and Reporting Structure

• Works closely with the Chief Financial Officer (CFO).
• Directly reports to the company founders.
• Partners intimately with the Chief Operating Officer (COO).
• Engages externally with investors, financial institutions, regulatory authorities, and service providers.
