UI / React JS Developer

About the Role

XPT Software Australia is looking for a skilled UI / React JS Developer based in Sydney, New South Wales to join their team on a full-time, onsite basis. This role involves designing and maintaining responsive web applications with a focus on scalability, performance, and user experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and sustain responsive web applications utilizing React JS technology.
• Create reusable components and front-end libraries to enhance future development efficiency.
• Convert UI/UX design mockups and wireframes into clean, high-quality code implementations.
• Integrate front-end interfaces with RESTful APIs and other backend services.
• Optimize application performance, ensuring responsiveness and scalability.
• Guarantee cross-browser compatibility and seamless mobile experience.
• Engage in code reviews and adhere to coding standards and best practices.
• Identify and fix bugs and address performance obstacles.
• Collaborate closely with product managers, designers, QA, and backend teams.
• Implement effective state management techniques and maintain scalable application architecture.
• Develop unit and integration tests to uphold code quality metrics.
• Keep current with evolving frontend technologies and trends within the React ecosystem.

Technical Skills

• Strong command of React JS framework.
• Advanced knowledge of JavaScript (ES6 and newer).
• Competent in HTML5, CSS3, and principles of responsive web design.
• Experience with React Hooks, functional components, and lifecycle methods.
• Proficient in state management libraries including Redux, Redux Toolkit, and Context API.
• Skilled in consuming and integrating RESTful APIs.
• Familiarity with frontend build environments such as Webpack, Vite, and Babel.
• Version control expertise using Git.
• Understanding of frontend performance optimization strategies.
• Use of testing frameworks like Jest and React Testing Library.
• Knowledgeable about modern frontend development methodologies and design patterns.

Preferred Additional Skills

• Working experience with TypeScript.
• Familiarity with Next.js framework.
• Proficiency in UI frameworks such as Material UI, Ant Design, Bootstrap, and Tailwind CSS.
• Experience with GraphQL and Apollo Client integration.
• Understanding of Micro Frontend architecture principles.
• Awareness of accessibility standards such as WCAG.
• Experience with authentication protocols including OAuth, JWT, and Single Sign-On.
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines using tools like GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or Azure DevOps.
• Exposure to cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
• Familiarity with Docker and container orchestration for deployments.
• Experience working in Agile software development environments.
• Competence with performance monitoring and troubleshooting tools.
