Role overview
UGL, together with CPB Contractors, has been chosen by Transgrid to deliver the western section of the HumeLink high-voltage transmission project. This major energy infrastructure program will build new transmission assets across regional New South Wales, including the Wagga Wagga, Maragle and Bannaby corridor, and is designed to strengthen the electricity network across Australia’s eastern states.
The HumeLink West package is valued at $1.4 billion and covers around 140 km of new 500kV double-circuit transmission lines from Wagga Wagga Substation to a new substation at Gugaa, the interface point with HumeLink East near Gundagai, plus a new substation at Maragle in the Snowy Mountains to support future connection to Snowy 2.0.
Work location and hours
This position is based in Gregadoo in the Wagga Wagga region for the full project duration and is being recruited locally to support employment in the area. The role is Monday to Friday, with the possibility of non-standard hours depending on construction activity.
What you will do
You will join the HumeLink West delivery team and provide support across travel, accommodation and site administration. The role focuses on keeping camp operations, transport arrangements and administrative processes running smoothly.
- Handle bookings, room allocations and resident issues in an organised and efficient way.
- Arrange travel and transport for FIFO personnel.
- Follow and maintain procedures for logging and resolving maintenance matters.
- Help ensure kitchen areas meet required hygiene and health standards.
- Work with the camp service provider to coordinate rosters and daily activities so camp and dining services run effectively.
- Support site leadership and construction teams with administrative tasks.
What we are looking for
The ideal candidate will bring experience in camp management or in a construction setting where large volumes of travel and accommodation need to be coordinated. You should be comfortable working in a fast-moving environment and managing multiple priorities.
- Background in construction site administration or another busy, deadline-driven environment.
- Strong planning and time-management abilities, with the confidence to prioritise work.
- Careful, accurate data entry and documentation practices.
- Competence with Microsoft Office and project management or finance platforms; SAP knowledge is an advantage.
- Clear communication and strong stakeholder engagement skills.
- Ability to work independently while also contributing positively to a team environment.
- Current Construction Industry Induction Card (White Card or equivalent) is required.
- Medical assessment, including drug and alcohol screening, must be completed before starting.
- Where relevant, proof of tertiary study and evidence of the right to work must be provided before appointment.
Equal opportunity and diversity
UGL and CPB Contractors are equal opportunity employers. They encourage applications from women, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, and candidates from all cultural backgrounds.
Benefits
- A career path that includes support for learning, development and internal progression.
- Access to opportunities across multiple construction sectors as your career grows.
- Competitive pay and benefits, including a wellbeing program, discount portal and company-paid salary continuance insurance.
- Flexible working arrangements and an inclusive culture that values diversity and innovation.
