Position Overview
This full-time position as a Transporter at St. Mary's Health Care System in Athens, GA involves transporting patients within the hospital and delivering necessary materials to patient care units while maintaining transport equipment. The role operates under supervisor direction and supports public safety with patient restraints and standbys.
Schedule
Work hours are Monday through Friday from 10:00 AM to 6:30 PM as evening shift coverage.
Key Responsibilities
- Transport patients safely across different hospital zones.
- Deliver supplies and objects to patient care departments.
- Ensure proper maintenance and readiness of transport equipment.
- Assist the Public Safety team with patient restraints and standbys as needed.
