Role Overview
The Transformation Excellence Manager collaborates with internal teams and clients to design and deliver strategic transformation initiatives within large enterprises and government institutions. This role involves leading workstreams encompassing process innovation, AI and technology implementations, and broader business transformation efforts. You will simplify complex operations, introduce redesigned workflows, and leverage emerging technologies such as AI to enhance both client and team performance.
Key responsibilities include translating business challenges into actionable transformation plans involving process redesign, operating model adjustments, AI/automation, data and technology deployment, and value realization tracking. You will be accountable for managing outcomes across workstreams, coordinating with senior stakeholders, tracking benefits, and ensuring recommendations align with client strategy and are feasible to implement.
Key Attributes and Competencies
- Lead and mobilize transformation programs internally and with clients.
- Possess practical knowledge of technology-driven transformations, including experience with AI, Cloud, Data, Security, workflow platforms, or core enterprise systems.
- Design and implement realistic target-state processes, governance frameworks, service models, and roadmaps.
- Analyze client operations, processes, and performance to identify improvement areas and measure results such as productivity, cost efficiency, customer and employee experience, risk mitigation, and financial impacts.
- Build and maintain trusted advisor relationships with senior clients and internal teams across Accenture’s network.
- Oversee day-to-day delivery, aligning stakeholders, resolving issues, planning, and supporting decisions.
- Prepare clear, executive-level documentation and business cases for senior stakeholders.
- Coach and develop junior team members, contribute to high team performance, and support career growth and skill development.
- Engage in sales and business development activities, expanding the practice’s commercial reach with quality delivery.
- Drive practice improvement initiatives and contribute thought leadership based on industry best practices.
- Adapt with flexibility to dynamic project and organizational needs.
Experience and Expertise
- A relevant bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience.
- At least six years’ experience in professional services, working closely with senior leaders on transformation projects and strategic planning.
- Deep expertise typically ranges from six to twelve years in this domain.
- Proven industry knowledge in sectors such as financial services, consumer products, technology, communications, media, health, or public services.
- Alternatively, strong capabilities in domains like transformation strategy, business process reengineering, or technology areas including AI, data, cloud, and security.
Decision Making and Scope
- Works under regular supervision with weekly to bi-weekly guidance, handling task prioritization and management.
- Accountable for cross-team decisions affecting multiple project groups and contributing to business area strategies.
- Responsible for identifying and implementing solutions to complex problems spanning several teams.
- Manages direct supervision of up to six employees and indirect oversight of up to twenty-five.
Collaboration
- Frequently engages with management level 5 internally to provide status updates and answer queries regarding project contributions.
- Limited but occasional input and observation involvement with lower management levels (ML 2 to ML 4).
- In client-facing scenarios, leads project status meetings with senior client management.
