Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Tarper to join our fast-paced manufacturing environment focused on ensuring the safe transport of gypsum wallboard products. This role involves hands-on assistance with loading, securing, and covering loads effectively to maintain safety and quality standards. A strong work ethic, physical stamina, and attention to detail are essential for success.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with loading gypsum wallboard onto transport vehicles safely and efficiently.
• Properly secure and cover loads using tarps to prevent damage during transit and comply with safety regulations.
• Perform various physical labor duties including lifting, stacking, and moving materials as required.
• Operate material handling equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks to facilitate loading tasks.
• Inspect tarping materials regularly and report any deficiencies to supervisors.
• Adhere to safety protocols and maintain cleanliness and organization in the work area.
• Provide support to production and maintenance teams as needed within the facility.

Working Conditions

• Work in a manufacturing weather-exposed environment with noise and dust moderate levels and temperature variations.
• Regularly lift and carry items up to 50 pounds.
• Standing, walking, and performing repetitive tasks for extended durations.
• Availability to work different shifts including weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

• Minimum education requirement: high school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to undertake physically demanding manual labor tasks.
• Strong team collaboration skills and meticulous attention to detail.

Preferred qualifications:

• Previous experience in manufacturing or construction environments.
• Familiarity with load securing techniques and operation of material handling machinery.
