Talent Acquisition Specialist - Contract Position (1 Year)

Overview

This role focuses on managing day-to-day talent development initiatives for UAE National Trainees within Emirates Global Aluminium. The Talent Acquisition Specialist ensures training programs align with organizational needs and future development plans while facilitating effective coordination amongst various departments and stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

• Detect development needs for Nationals including Graduate and National Trainees post-training program completion.
• Guarantee training programs fulfill identified requirements for trainees across operational and corporate sectors.
• Manage assigned courses and oversee coordination with trainees at different levels.
• Ensure training outcomes meet competencies defined by target departments in line with current job needs and strategic future development.
• Assess development programs and plans for UAE National trainees and employees to verify alignment with individual and department objectives.
• Regularly conduct review meetings to monitor progress and refine development plans for Graduate Trainees.
• Liaise with management, supervisors, and mentors to evaluate trainee progress and understand evolving policies or business changes.
• Collaborate with the Scholarship team to manage sponsored students’ Work Placement, Internship, and Summer Programmes.
• Coordinate development plan submissions for Work Placement and Internship trainees.
• Partner with internal teams to facilitate various student training methods like job shadowing and orientation presentations.
• Identify and manage Training Course Approvals (TCA) for external courses relevant to Graduate Trainees.
• Create Purchase Requisitions in SAP for approved Graduate Trainee external courses.
• Engage actively with business units and trainees to enhance graduate engagement and satisfaction.
• Organize familiarization tours for corporate and operations departments tailored to trainees’ needs.
• Represent EGA at career fairs, exhibitions, and recruitment events to attract UAE Nationals.
• Address concerns of Graduate Trainees in partnership with business units, escalating issues as needed.
• Coordinate with the Main Training Centre concerning Future Leader courses and ensure timely submission of trainee assignments.
• Work with Salary Administration to process salary increments and allowances for Graduate Trainees.
• Interface with Employee Relations on matters such as National Military Service and other trainee-related issues.
• Collaborate monthly with Corporate Communication to publicize activities on company social media channels.
• Oversee Summer Training programs for UAE Nationals.
• Coordinate with Recruitment to match Graduate Trainees with roles aligned to their qualifications and manage onboarding processes.
• Ensure smooth transition processes including documentation for trainees undertaking National Military Service.
• Partner with Business Partners, Employee Relations, and departments concerning trainee resignations and subsequent procedures.
• Engage with the Performance Management team when necessary.
• Coordinate internal team efforts to ensure seamless role transition for Graduate Trainees.
• Prepare reports and data analytics upon request.
• Monitor progress of other identified nationals in administrative positions and facilitate their review meetings.
• Identify trainee allocations to ensure budget adherence and appropriate replacements.

Qualifications and Experience

• A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification relevant to the field is required; advanced degrees are preferred.
• Candidates should possess 2 to 4 years of experience within the relevant industry or operational area.
