Supply Chain Specialist

Role overview

This position focuses on cross-regional order management, inventory planning, and customer service support, with particular emphasis on international material flow and balancing supply across global markets. The role helps keep inventory moving efficiently between regions, supports healthier global stock levels, and reduces both shortages and overstock. What you'll do

• Steer and improve cross-regional inventory movement to keep supply and demand balanced across the network.
• Maintain inventory at the right levels while meeting service commitments and staying within investment limits.
• Track demand patterns and forecast performance to improve how inventory is positioned globally.
• Spot and act on transfer opportunities between regions to cut shortages, lower excess stock, and raise fill rates.
• Review worldwide inventory data and reports to identify risks, opportunities, and rebalancing needs.
• Manage stocking rules such as minimum and maximum levels so they support global flow and service goals.
• Use data analysis, trend review, and exception handling to support forecasting and demand planning.
• Help reduce slow-moving, surplus, and obsolete inventory through redistribution across regions.
• Check warehouse stock levels and coordinate order quantities as well as inter-regional transfers.
• Share supply risks, shortages, and mitigation plans with stakeholders across multiple regions.
• Work with regional planning and order management teams to align supply strategies, constraints, and priorities.
• Lead alignment meetings that drive decisions on inventory balancing, prioritization, and execution of transfers.
• Serve as the central point for cross-regional supply actions and make sure agreed plans are followed through.
• Track action items, close gaps, and hold teams accountable for delivering inventory strategies.

What we're looking for

• A bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Logistics, Finance, or a closely related discipline.
• At least 5 years of experience in inventory planning, supply planning, order management, or inventory control.
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting ability, with careful attention to detail.
• Proven success working across regions, time zones, and cross-functional teams.
• Clear communication and stakeholder-influencing skills, including the ability to align people at different levels.
• A self-motivated, proactive approach suited to a fast-moving global environment.
• Experience handling or supporting inter-regional supply flows, transfers, and global inventory balancing.
• Exposure to international operations or global supply chain settings.
• Familiarity with performance tracking, benchmarking, and continuous improvement efforts.
• Practical experience using advanced analytics, AI, or automation tools to improve forecasting and inventory optimization.
• Ability to turn complex data into simple, actionable recommendations for business decisions.
• Comfort with digital supply chain platforms, decision-intelligence tools, or scenario modeling.
• Understanding of how advanced analytics can improve service levels, reduce excess inventory, and support cross-regional planning.
