Job Summary
As a Supply Chain & Distribution Operations Coordinator, you will oversee and coordinate supply chain activities within a high-volume healthcare logistics facility, managing staff and operations. Your role includes leading multiple logistics initiatives, ensuring excellence in warehousing, transportation, inventory management, and purchasing functions. You will also support continuous system transitions such as HELIX, CTMS, MAESTRO, MXWMS, and CARGO WISE.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage daily warehouse and dispatch distribution operations.
- Develop and implement strategies for purchasing, storage, and distribution, ensuring alignment with business goals.
- Maintain optimal inventory to satisfy demand and control costs.
- Oversee outbound dispatch, scheduling, prioritization, and ensure timely deliveries.
- Monitor and allocate stock for uninterrupted supply and efficient operations.
- Assess and improve inventory systems to guarantee precise stock management.
- Negotiate supplier agreements ensuring quality and cost-effectiveness.
- Serve as a liaison among warehouse staff, transport providers, and internal partners for seamless goods movement.
- Coordinate transport resources and labor to maximize performance.
- Track and analyze distribution KPIs including delivery accuracy, stock integrity, and freight data.
- Maintain detailed records of dispatch, inventory flow, and transactions for compliance and traceability.
- Lead, mentor, and supervise warehouse and dispatch employees, ensuring safety and performance standards.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to increase supply chain visibility and distribution efficiency.
- Manage logistics providers to ensure operational alignment and cost management.
Continuous Improvement
- Identify system and workflow gaps and recommend enhancements to WMS, HELIX processes, and operations.
- Participate in ongoing improvements for logistics systems and protocols.
Skills and Experience Required
- Proven background in managing supply chain or logistics operations and related projects.
- Experience in managing staff with strong leadership.
- Exceptional communication and stakeholder management capabilities.
- Analytical and problem-solving skills with risk management awareness.
- Adept at working from complex instructions and can independently coordinate team tasks.
- Committed to high-quality work and effective interpersonal communication.
Physical Demands
- Ability to work briefly in cold environments down to -4°C.
- Constant vigilance and adherence to safety protocols.
