Strategic Sourcing Generalist – Technology (Remote)

Overview

We are looking for a Strategic Sourcing Generalist specialized in Technology procurement with 3 to 5 years of relevant experience. This role is fully remote but requires working during EST business hours, with preference for candidates residing in the EST or CST time zones. This is a long-term contract position with possibilities for extension.

Job Responsibilities

• Develop and implement sourcing strategies that support company goals.
• Manage procurement activities for technology-related contracts under $100,000.
• Perform thorough market research and evaluate potential suppliers.
• Identify possibilities to consolidate suppliers and generate cost reductions.
• Analyze industry trends and assess procurement risks.
• Lead supplier selection and skillfully negotiate contracts including commercial terms, pricing, and service level agreements.
• Collaborate with Legal, Information Security, and Governance teams to ensure procurement compliance.
• Support ongoing supplier performance monitoring and address any performance issues.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams to capture procurement needs and share best practices.
• Enhance contract adherence and improve procurement processes.
• Analyze spending patterns to uncover savings opportunities and develop comprehensive cost models such as Total Cost of Ownership (TCO).
• Leverage procurement and supplier management tools to inform sourcing decisions and provide data-driven recommendations.

Candidate Profile and Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree is mandatory; an MBA or other advanced degree is preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in strategic sourcing or procurement with a focus on technology categories including SaaS, cybersecurity, enterprise software, cloud and hosting services, tech hardware, and related services.
• Expertise in managing contracts under $100K.
• Proven skills in executing RFP and RFI processes and sourcing strategy development.
• Experience negotiating commercial agreements and pricing.
• Strong analytical capabilities alongside excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to thrive in dynamic, cross-functional work environments and foster productive stakeholder relationships.
• Preferred certifications include CPSM, PMP, Lean Six Sigma, ISM Certification, among others.

Additional Information

Compensation: The hourly wage ranges between $40 and $50 on a W2 basis.

Work Schedule: The position requires coverage during Eastern Standard Time business hours.

Experience: Candidates should have at least 3 years of experience in strategic sourcing and technology procurement.
