Strategic Finance Analyst

Overview

We are seeking experienced Corporate Finance specialists skilled in FP&A, financial modeling, and valuation to join our team remotely as freelance contractors. This role focuses on integrating corporate finance workflows with AI systems and ensuring accuracy and relevance of AI-driven financial outputs.

Key Responsibilities

• Convert practical corporate finance procedures into well-structured tasks compatible with AI technologies.
• Assess AI-generated financial data for correctness, sound logic, and applicability to business contexts.
• Engage in various finance functions such as modeling, budgeting, forecasting, valuation, and analyzing performance.
• Detect potential shortcomings, uncommon scenarios, and errors in financial models.
• Document clearly the underlying assumptions, financial rationales, and decisions made.
• Deliver organized feedback aimed at enhancing AI output and functionality.

Qualifications

• At least five years of professional experience in corporate finance, financial planning and analysis, investment appraisal, or consultancy.
• Recent active involvement with financial modeling techniques, valuation methodologies including discounted cash flow and comparables, budgeting, and forecasting.
• Strong comprehension of financial statements, key business metrics, and decision-making tools.
• High attention to detail with the capability to analyze intricate financial cases.
• Ability to operate autonomously in a dynamic remote work setting.

Work Conditions and Expectations

• The role offers flexible hours as tasks are mostly asynchronous.
• Meetings are minimal and mainly optional office hours.
• Communication and project coordination take place via Slack and proprietary platforms.
• Prompt onboarding and engagement within 24 hours of job acceptance are mandatory.

Additional Information

Engagement type: Freelance/1099 contractor.
Compensation ranges from $100 to $125 per hour.
Minimum commitment of 10 hours weekly, with preference for 15 to 20 hours based on availability.
