Store to Home Picker

Overview

We are looking for a Store to Home Picker for our Peterborough location to work full-time on a permanent contract. The role involves 36.75 hours per week with shifts scheduled Monday through Sunday between 5:00 am and 10:00 pm. The hourly pay rate is £13.10. At B&Q, we believe in empowering customers to improve their homes with confidence and great products. As a Store to Home Picker, you will play an essential role by supporting customers both face to face and over the phone, assisting with product knowledge and order fulfillment.

Role Responsibilities and Expectations

You will confidently communicate with customers, help with their home improvement ideas, and ensure speedy and safe collection services. Your duties will require efficiency and focus on customer service while processing orders such as courier deliveries, click and collect, and home delivery. The products handled can vary widely from paint tins to garden compost bags and even hot tubs, necessitating a degree of physical strength. Flexibility in working hours, including weekends, evenings, and bank holidays, is required as you work on a rotating schedule. You will need to adopt new technologies and methods to maximize effectiveness.
