Job Description

Join Advance Auto Parts as a Store Driver based in Georgetown, Ontario, Canada. This full-time, onsite role involves safely picking up and delivering automotive parts to professional customers, collecting returns and cores, distributing sales flyers while promoting ongoing deals and loyalty programs, and managing daily credit account collections. The position requires building and nurturing relationships with both MainStreet and National professional clients, while providing valuable insights gained during deliveries. Additional duties include supporting upselling and cross-selling efforts to enhance sales, maintaining store cleanliness, handling stocking responsibilities including truck and back stock, and assisting walk-in customers by identifying their needs and recommending suitable parts or services.

Key Responsibilities

• Safely pick, stage, and deliver parts to pro customers.
• Collect returns and cores from customers.
• Distribute sales flyers regularly and promote sales and loyalty programs.
• Manage credit account collections on a daily basis.
• Develop and maintain positive relationships with professional customers and provide delivery insights.
• Assist in upselling and cross-selling to increase average transaction value.
• Maintain store cleanliness including floors, bathrooms, dusting, and parking areas.
• Conduct stocking activities such as truck stocking, back stock organization, and cycle counts.
• Stay informed about product inventory and new arrivals to support sales efforts.
• Engage with walk-in customers to assess their requirements and suggest appropriate parts or services.
• Perform other assigned duties as needed.

• Ability to understand safety rules, maintenance instructions, parts catalogs, and procedural documents.
• Basic mathematical skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
• Flexible availability including evenings and weekends as required.
• Confidence in customer interaction and product promotion.
• Willingness to learn about new products and sales methods.

Preferred Experience and Education

• Previous experience with automotive parts is preferred but not mandatory.
• High school diploma or equivalent educational qualification required.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record is mandatory.

Physical Demands and Work Environment

The role demands frequent walking, standing, and physical activities such as lifting up to 50 pounds regularly and occasional assisted lifting up to 100 pounds. Employees must have good vision, hearing, and dexterity to perform duties effectively. Work is mainly indoors with occasional exposure to outdoor weather conditions, moving mechanical parts, chemicals, electrical risks, and moderate noise levels.

Compensation and Benefits

The expected hourly wage ranges from 17.60 CAD to 20.70 CAD, with the exact rate influenced by factors such as experience, location, and skill set.
