Overview
This entry-level store driver role involves delivering automotive parts to commercial clients while supporting inventory and store duties. The position requires fleet safety certification and may be either full-time or part-time. The primary objective is to efficiently and safely transport parts, assist in inventory management, and maintain a high standard of store upkeep.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely transport and deliver automotive parts to customers as required
- Pick and prepare parts for customer orders
- Collect returns and core items from customers
- Distribute weekly and monthly sales flyers
- Manage daily collections from credit accounts
Secondary tasks include maintaining store cleanliness (floors, restrooms, displays, dusting, parking areas) and restocking products both on trucks and within the store’s back stock.

- Basic driving skills with good navigation ability
- Proficiency in using delivery board systems
- Effective and friendly communication with customers and colleagues
- Ability to locate, pick, and stock parts accurately
- Strong safety awareness and skills
- Familiarity with store inventory systems and equipment operations
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Strong communication skills to foster good relations with customers, peers, and management
- Capability to interpret safety rules, maintenance instructions, parts catalogs, and procedural documents
- Basic math proficiency including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division with whole numbers, fractions, and decimals
- Flexibility to work various shifts including days, evenings, and weekends
Preferred Experience
Prior experience with automotive parts is advantageous but not mandatory.
Licenses and Certifications
A valid driver’s license and fleet safety certification are mandatory for this role.
Physical Requirements
The role demands frequent walking and standing, using hands for handling, reaching, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and crawling. Employees often lift or move weights up to 50 pounds regularly and sometimes up to 100 pounds. Required vision capabilities include close, distance, color vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment.
Work Environment
Primarily an indoor role, this position will occasionally require working outdoors in various weather conditions while performing tasks such as installing batteries and wiper blades. Exposure to moving machinery, heights, chemicals, electrical risks, explosives, and vibrations may occur. Noise levels are generally moderate.
