Overview
The organization is looking for an SQL Database Developer with deep hands-on experience in building and fine-tuning complex SQL logic. This position focuses on improving database performance, supporting reliable data access, and helping business applications and reporting run efficiently.
Work arrangement: Hybrid, with 3 days required on-site.
Responsibilities
- Create, update, and support advanced SQL queries, stored procedures, and functions.
- Improve query performance through tuning and optimization techniques.
- Investigate slow queries and review execution plans to find bottlenecks.
- Design effective database structures and indexing approaches.
- Partner with application and data teams to clarify data and reporting needs.
- Diagnose and resolve performance issues related to data processing.
- Assist with ETL workflows and data transformation tasks where needed.
- Maintain data accuracy, consistency, and security across database objects.
- Record database designs, logic, and optimization methods for future reference.
Requirements
- Strong command of SQL, with experience in Oracle and/or SQL Server environments.
- Practical experience working with complex joins, subqueries, and CTEs.
- Knowledge of window functions such as ROW_NUMBER and RANK.
- Experience developing stored procedures and triggers.
- Proven ability to optimize queries and improve database performance.
