About the Role
Become an integral part of a pioneering venture dedicated to enhancing access to clean drinking water and cutting down single-use plastic waste in Sri Lanka. As the Social Media Manager, you'll be instrumental in crafting the public presence of an innovative startup focused on sustainability and travel. Your role will involve formulating and executing a robust social media plan, producing captivating content, and chronicling the company's growth as it rolls out smart water refill stations nationwide. Key Responsibilities
- Devise and implement a social media strategy specifically designed for platforms such as Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok, and Facebook.
- Create, schedule, and publish engaging and insightful content that showcases the company's mission, achievements, and impact.
- Capture and narrate the startup’s development story through both visual and written mediums.
- Work closely with the founder to maintain brand integrity and authenticity across all channels.
- Keep abreast of social media trends and audience behaviors to fine-tune content and strategy for maximum engagement.
- Analyze key performance indicators and adapt campaign tactics accordingly.
Candidate Requirements
- Proven experience managing social media profiles for brands, startups, or organizations.
- Strong skills in content creation including copywriting, photography, and/or video editing.
- Competency with social media management tools and analytics software.
- A creative approach with a passion for sustainability, travel, and compelling storytelling.
- Excellent organizational abilities and communication skills.
- Capability to work autonomously, meet deadlines, and adjust to shifting priorities.
- Knowledge of the Sri Lankan hospitality or travel industries is advantageous.
- Available for part-time engagement on a contract basis.
