Project Overview
This opportunity supports a greenfield mining project in Weipa, Queensland that emphasizes sustained production, environmental stewardship, community relationships, and fostering local economic growth.
Role Summary
The Site Administrator functions in handling a range of administrative tasks requiring precision, discretion, sound judgment, and proactive problem-solving. The role involves managing complex schedules, travel arrangements, correspondence, coordination of meetings, and documentation control. This position is based locally in Weipa and operates Monday through Friday.
Key Responsibilities
- Support managerial decision-making with moderate autonomy.
- Execute complex administrative tasks independently.
- Manage highly confidential and sensitive information responsibly.
- Proactively identify and adjust to shifting priorities and schedules.
- Handle business independently, escalate critical issues to senior management, and ensure follow-up actions.
- Coordinate detailed travel plans and expense documentation using software such as Concur.
- Document meetings, conferences, and follow up on action items.
- Assign and record document numbers in Bechtel’s document management system; may also handle client document system tasks.
- Develop and implement administrative operational procedures as needed.
Qualifications and Experience
- 4 to 6 years of relevant professional experience.
- Associate degree or relevant technical training preferred.
Skills and Competencies
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Capability to update and maintain project spreadsheets.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
