Setup Operator (Die Change/Press Operator)

Position Overview

DBG Limited is looking for an experienced Setup Operator specializing in Die Change to join our press operations team at our facility in Mississauga, Ontario. This role involves preparing, adjusting, and maintaining stamping production presses to achieve safe and efficient manufacturing with high-quality results.

Work Schedule and Compensation

The position offers a pay range between $22.00 and $25.00 per hour, depending on experience. The scheduled shift hours are from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM.

Primary Duties

• Safely and efficiently install and dismantle press dies.
• Operate metal stamping machinery while maintaining production quality standards.
• Conduct start-up inspections of press and auxiliary machinery prior to operation.
• Troubleshoot routine machine issues and report more complex problems as necessary.
• Document quality control data, scrap rates, and production output accurately.
• Manage materials using forklifts, cranes, and other lifting equipment in compliance with safety protocols.
• Consistently adhere to established safety and quality guidelines in all aspects of work.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years' experience operating production presses.
• At least 2 years' hands-on experience in die changing and setup operations.
• Skills in operating forklifts and cranes are considered advantageous.
