Role Overview

Work Locations & Travel

• Positions are available across Regional Australia; this is not a fly-in-fly-out role—candidates must reside within the region.
• Work locations include: WA (Merredin, Jurian Bay, Geraldton), SA (Port Augusta/Whyalla, Millicent/Mt Gambier), VIC (Warnambool, Ballarat, Sale), NSW (Canberra/Goulburn, Inverall/Glen Innes), QLD (Hughenden, Chinchilla/Dulacca, Atherton), TAS (Musselroe, Granville Harbour).
• Typical working hours are 8 hours per day with on-call duties approximately once every 3-4 weeks on weekends.
• Annual travel to various sites is expected, averaging 50 days per year.

Responsibilities

• Adhere strictly to safety and environmental standards while meeting service performance targets.
• Perform routine service inspections as defined by Vestas, including electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic component maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Ensure turbines operate smoothly by using condition monitoring and remote-control systems.
• Maintain service vehicles and warehouses, ensuring adequate stock of materials, tools, and spare parts.
• Assemble and maintain components following established standards and instructions, utilizing internal or external crane equipment when necessary.

Qualifications & Skills

• Trade qualification in electrical, mechanical, or hydraulic fields coupled with eagerness to enhance expertise.
• Competent computer skills with experience in tools and systems for monitoring and documentation.
• Proficient English communication, both verbal and written.
• Valid driver’s license.
