Role Overview
As a Service & Repair Technician III - Inspector based in Gul Circle, Singapore, you will conduct detailed visual and dimensional inspections of aero engine hardware, specifically on various APU models within the site's capability. Your assessments will determine serviceability and highlight necessary repairs based on rigorous quality standards and manuals.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out visual and dimensional checks on aero engine hardware to verify compliance with quality requirements.
- Determine the condition of parts and document defects, specifying if they fall within acceptable tolerance ranges.
- Interpret technical documents including repair manuals, engineering dispositions, and customer standards to guide inspections.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity and quality, meeting annual site goals.
- Collaborate with Engineers and Planners on parts evaluation and repair feasibility both within and outside your team.
- Manage inspection tool calibration and TPM activities to maintain equipment accuracy.
- Undertake 5S practices and housekeeping tasks to ensure a clean and efficient workspace.
- Support cross-departmental training and additional duties as assigned.
- Adapt to shift work or flexible scheduling based on operational needs.
Candidate Profile
- Possess at least an NTC Aerospace Technology or Engineering certificate.
- Have 2 to 5 years of experience as an inspector within the aerospace industry.
- Adept at reading and interpreting engineering drawings, technical manuals, and repair documentation in English.
- Demonstrate strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently after training.
- Exhibit high attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Possess fundamental computer skills; familiarity with SAP is advantageous.
- Be a cooperative team member with effective communication abilities.
- Willingness to work overtime with applicable compensation.
