Senior Technician II

About the Role

Pratt & Whitney, a leader in aircraft engine and auxiliary power unit manufacturing, is seeking an experienced Senior Technician II to join their Singapore team. As part of RTX, the company excels in advancing aviation technology and integrated defense systems.

Primary Responsibilities

• Operate plasma machining equipment to repair engine components.
• Conduct total productive maintenance (TPM) on plasma machinery.
• Program and troubleshoot equipment as directed by engineering staff.
• Support engine painting processes through cross-training.
• Adhere strictly to operational procedures and quality standards.
• Report incidents, hazards, and emergencies promptly to supervisors.
• Assess risks related to tasks and implement corrective and preventive measures.
• Participate actively in audits and inspections.
• Attend Environmental Health & Safety trainings and ensure personal safety compliance.

Learning & Development

• Gain knowledge aligned with NITEC qualifications in engineering or similar areas.
• Develop proficiency in interpreting and using engine manuals.
• Engage in hands-on operation of tools, equipment, and machines.
• Foster a curious and continuous learning mindset with on-the-job trainings and certifications.
• Build independence with a motivated attitude towards adapting to change management.
• Availability for rotating shifts including day and night, and overtime as necessary.

Qualifications and Experience

• Relevant experience in aerospace, manufacturing, or precision engineering environments.
• Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office and SAP applications.
• Experience with plasma machining preferred but not mandatory.
