Senior Network Architect - Intelligent Transportation Systems

Overview

Qatar Building Company seeks a seasoned Senior Network Architect to spearhead the design, deployment, and enhancement of network infrastructures that underpin large-scale Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) Operation and Maintenance projects in Doha, Qatar.

Key Duties

• Lead the architectural design and implementation of complex network infrastructures supporting ITS.
• Manage and optimize WAN and LAN technologies ensuring robust connectivity and operational efficiency.
• Utilize hands-on expertise with network management tools such as Huawei eSight, NCE-T, SolarWinds, and IBM Maximo, alongside software-defined networking (SDN) solutions.
• Ensure stringent network security measures including VPNs, firewalls, and automation protocols are implemented and maintained.
• Collaborate and oversee large ITS infrastructure projects focusing on operation and maintenance contract adherence.

Qualifications and Experience

• Minimum eight years of experience in network engineering or architecture roles.
• Profound knowledge of TCP/IP, OSPF, BGP, MPLS, and various WAN/LAN technologies.
• Proficient with network security implementations and automation.
• Experience with large-scale ITS infrastructure and operational maintenance projects is highly advantageous.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Network Engineering or a closely related discipline.
• Professional certifications such as CCNP or CCIE are strongly preferred.
