Role Summary
The Senior Manager for Accounts Management is responsible for overseeing all transactions related to the internal and external accounts across retail, VIP, QNB First, staff, and corporate segments domestically and internationally. This includes ensuring documentation accuracy, compliance with regulations, and timely processing of account openings, amendments, and other related activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and monitor Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) such as turnaround times, error rates, and service level agreements to evaluate performance of account-related transactions.
- Implement best practices and KPIs for the account management unit and delegate authority appropriately among staff.
- Collaborate with Relationship Managers to ensure prompt receipt and completion of all account opening, amendment, signature addition, and closing documentation.
- Foster strong interdepartmental relationships to align with Group objectives and deliver quality service.
- Provide accurate and timely information to auditors and compliance teams as required.
- Assist customers with product inquiries and provide efficient solutions.
- Maintain compliance with Service Level Agreements to improve processing times.
- Establish internal procedures for review of account documentation and ensure all regulatory and procedural requirements are met.
- Coordinate with administrative units for the safekeeping of documentation and timely processing.
- Supervise staff attendance and performance, maintaining a high level of team management.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives by encouraging innovative thinking and cross-functional teamwork.
- Ensure staff development through coaching and performance assessments to prepare team members for increased responsibilities.
- Adhere to all regulatory, legal, and risk management policies including AML, fraud control, conduct risk, and data protection standards.
- Maintain the confidentiality of sensitive commercial and customer information, sharing it only on a need-to-know basis with senior management and authorized parties.
- Carry out additional ad hoc tasks as assigned by senior management.
Qualifications and Experience
- University degree preferred in Marketing, Banking, Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Minimum of eight years of relevant experience, ideally with a reputable international banking institution.
