Role Overview

A growing data center design and engineering firm in Doha is looking for a Senior ICT/ELV Engineer to support the planning, coordination, and delivery of ICT, telecom, and extra-low voltage systems for mission-critical and data center projects. The position focuses on producing secure, dependable, high-performance solutions that match project needs, client expectations, and applicable international standards.

Core Responsibilities

Create and coordinate design outputs for ICT, telecommunications, and low-voltage systems used in data center and mission-critical environments.
Produce technical deliverables such as design drawings, specifications, equipment schedules, system architecture documents, and engineering reports.
Plan structured cabling, fibre optic networks, telecom infrastructure, and cable management arrangements.
Develop ELV designs covering CCTV, access control, intercom, public address, intrusion detection, BMS, EPMS, leak detection, and security systems.
Work closely with architectural, structural, mechanical, electrical, and BIM teams so the ICT infrastructure is fully integrated with the overall design.
Prepare layouts for data rooms, MDF/IDF rooms, carrier rooms, pathways, containment, and network infrastructure.
Assess shop drawings, technical submissions, material approvals, and contractor proposals.
Check that ICT and ELV solutions meet client expectations, project specifications, and relevant international standards.
Assist with site surveys, inspections, testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting during construction.
Keep engineering records, project documentation, and deliverables accurate and aligned with project timelines.
Stay informed about new ICT technologies, cybersecurity-related considerations, and current industry practices.

Qualifications and Experience

Bachelor's degree in Telecommunications Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a closely related field.
6 to 10 years of relevant experience in ICT/ELV engineering, including work on major projects.
Background in data center, mission-critical, commercial, or industrial projects is preferred.
Strong knowledge of structured cabling standards such as ANSI/TIA-568, ISO/IEC 11801, and BICSI practices.
Hands-on experience with ICT infrastructure, fibre optic networks, telecommunications systems, and ELV design.
Ability to use AutoCAD, Revit, BIM coordination tools, and Microsoft Office effectively.
Familiarity with TIA-942, Uptime Institute guidelines, or similar data center standards is an advantage.
RCDD certification is highly preferred.

Preferred Profile

Exposure to ICT design for hyperscale data centers and critical infrastructure is a plus.
Understanding of network architecture, data halls, carrier rooms, meet-me rooms, MDF/IDF rooms, and telecom infrastructure.
Strong coordination ability across multiple engineering and design disciplines.
Clear technical writing, stakeholder communication, and documentation skills.
Good analytical thinking, problem-solving ability, and attention to detail.
Capability to manage several priorities while meeting project deadlines and maintaining quality.
Strong written and spoken English communication skills.

Compensation

The monthly salary range is QAR 15,000 to QAR 20,000.
