Role Overview

Joining us in Auckland, working primarily from our Parnell office with some remote flexibility, you will report to the VP of accesso Intelligence. This role involves hands-on coding and leadership in designing and developing features for our innovative agentic interface, including streaming, context window management, tool orchestration, and sandboxed execution. You will also contribute to our AI layer infrastructure, working with models like OpenAI and Anthropic, as well as manage integrations and data benchmarks that support our platform.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and deliver new features across our agentic interface focusing on emerging AI technologies.
• Work with AI models, LangChain4J, and data visualization infrastructure to enhance the AI layer.
• Develop and maintain integrations, custom datasets, and benchmarking tools for robust data platform functionality.
• Provide technical leadership through thoughtful design decisions, code reviews, and mentorship.
• Collaborate closely with customers and product teams to understand requirements and craft impactful solutions.

Candidate Profile

• At least 5 years of diverse software engineering experience with a track record of delivering meaningful results.
• Strong problem-solving skills, simplifying complex challenges into elegant solutions, combined with excellent communication and customer empathy.
• Proficiency across our technology stack including TypeScript, Java, Python, SQL, and experience with PostgreSQL, DuckDB, Databricks, AWS, Datadog, Modal, LangFuse, React, Jotai/Redux Toolkit, and data visualization.
• Natural mentor who values humility, constructive feedback, and continuous learning.
• Experience with AI-assisted development tools such as Claude Code and Codex is beneficial.
