Senior Data Scientist

About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Data Scientist to collaborate with client teams by extracting actionable insights from complex data sets through advanced analytics methods. The ideal candidate will have a track record of delivering impactful business results by applying data-driven insights and working effectively with diverse stakeholders and cross-functional teams. This position involves formulating data-centric solutions aligned with business needs and spearheading the design, assessment, and implementation of cutting-edge Generative AI and Agentic AI technologies that enhance analytical processes, speed client project delivery, and translate sophisticated information into practical business strategies.

Key Responsibilities

• Engage directly with client teams to pinpoint opportunities for leveraging advanced analytical methods to solve business challenges.
• Create tailored AI and machine learning models and algorithms tailored to specific datasets.
• Develop and maintain tools and processes to build, monitor, and evaluate data models ensuring accuracy and alignment with business goals.
• Lead the design, prototyping, and assessment of Agentic AI operations, including managing AI agents, retrieval-augmented content generation, orchestration workflows, and human-involved controls.
• Employ and oversee advanced Generative AI strategies such as prompt engineering, model validation, grounding, safety protocols, and the ethical application of AI to address complex client issues.
• Mentor team members in utilizing AI-augmented engineering tools (e.g., Claude Code, GitHub Copilot) to enhance development speed, code quality, documentation, and experimentation.
• Provide thought leadership in swiftly acquiring new domain knowledge, navigating ambiguous problems, and translating AI/ML prospects into quantifiable client outcomes.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• Minimum 6 years of professional experience alongside a bachelor's degree in quantitative disciplines such as Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Economics, Mathematics, or Engineering; advanced degree preferred.
• Proficiency in relational databases with advanced SQL query development skills is essential.
• Hands-on expertise with Agentic AI, including leading AI agent development, managing multi-step AI workflows, tool/function invocation, retrieval-augmented generation, or orchestration frameworks.
• Proven project leadership ability, experience mentoring junior scientists, and managing project outcomes with strong planning and architectural decision-making skills.
• Advanced knowledge of Generative AI, including prompt engineering, large language model system design, model evaluation, responsible AI implementation, and deployment of AI-driven business solutions.
• Extensive Python programming skills for data science applications, machine learning, model testing, automation, API integrations, and production analytics pipelines.
• Comprehensive AI/ML background covering supervised and unsupervised learning, model validation, feature engineering, statistical methods, and business-focused experimentation.
• Demonstrated ability to quickly learn and adapt in dynamic AI environments, strong curiosity, and commitment to continuous skill development.
• Strong analytical problem-solving and technical leadership to clarify unclear business challenges, test hypotheses, and guide teams toward actionable insights.
• Experience applying AI-supported engineering tools such as Claude Code or GitHub Copilot to accelerate development processes.
• Familiarity with business intelligence platforms like Tableau and Power BI.
