Senior Creative Designer (Contract)

About the Role

This contractor position is structured as an independent contractor (1099) role, where services are invoiced and compensated hourly. The Senior Creative Designer at Ro serves as a lead individual contributor known for strong execution and craftsmanship. You will produce design assets that enliven Ro's brand across multiple platforms such as CRM systems, paid and organic social media channels, website updates, and ongoing production tasks.

This position calls for a multi-talented designer comfortable switching between projects and formats, thriving in a fast-paced environment while upholding a high standard of quality. Collaboration with senior creative leads and cross-functional teams to create clear, approachable, and distinctly Ro-aligned creative content is key.

Primary Responsibilities

• Actively design and produce creative materials for CRM, paid and organic social channels, website element updates, and continuous production demands.
• Manage projects from initial briefs to final delivery, adjusting efficiently to evolving priorities and deadlines.
• Utilize versatility as a generalist designer to support design needs across various channels and formats seamlessly.
• Develop and assist with animation and motion graphics contributing to larger campaign efforts and production deliveries.
• Work closely with creative leads and other teams to ensure brand alignment, timely delivery, and consistency.
• Maintain high visual standards for all creative outputs, enhancing brand cohesion.
• Incorporate constructive feedback through iterative refinement to balance the quality and speed of work.
• Embed principles of diversity, equity, and inclusion in design decisions to create empathetic and intentional work.

Required Experience and Skills

• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in design or related creative roles, with a portfolio showcasing excellent work across digital platforms.
• Proficient in Figma; experience with animation or motion design tools is advantageous.
• Keen design sensibility covering layout, typography, composition, and compelling visual narratives.
• Ability to work as a versatile designer across varying mediums without compromising focus or quality.
• Passion for evolving brand standards through thoughtful application of current design trends tailored to Ro's identity.
• Competency in producing animated or motion assets contributing towards dynamic creative outputs.
• Capacity to work efficiently in a high-demand, rapidly changing workload environment.
