Senior Consultant / Project Manager - Ports & Marine

About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Consultant / Project Manager to lead projects within the Ports & Marine service line, based in Doha, Qatar. This role involves managing studies and projects related to port consulting and engineering, ensuring technical excellence, and driving continuous improvement to enhance productivity and reduce costs.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage various projects within the Ports & Marine service area.
• Serve as a Senior Consultant delivering expert port consulting and engineering services.
• Ensure the highest technical standards by implementing best practices and continuous improvement efforts.
• Promote cost efficiency and productivity enhancements across all assigned projects.
• Perform site visits, conduct inspections, gather data, and carry out technical evaluations pertinent to the scope of work.
• Engage in design reviews and offer guidance on technical design, drafting challenges, and adherence to compliance standards.
• Assist in the development of technical and commercial proposals.
• Maintain control over project costs and quality in line with established project management processes and standards.

Qualifications and Experience

• Preferably over 15 years of relevant experience in Ports & Marine Engineering, with a minimum of 10 years required.
• At least 5 years of proven experience functioning as a Project Manager.
• Bachelor's degree (Honours) in Civil Engineering or a related field.
• Professional accreditation such as Chartered Engineer status or its equivalent is preferred.
• Fluent English communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Strong project management skills; relevant certifications will be an advantage.
• Willingness and ability to travel within the Middle East region.
• Excellent collaboration and stakeholder engagement abilities.
• Demonstrated capacity to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams and deliver successful project outcomes.
