Job Overview

The Senior Construction Engineer will lead and manage residential and commercial construction projects, especially housing developments. The position involves guiding multidisciplinary teams, overseeing construction processes, and ensuring all work complies with approved designs, specifications, local codes, and quality and safety standards throughout the project duration.

Key Responsibilities

• Utilize planning and scheduling software effectively.
• Interpret and analyze contract documents and drawings.
• Monitor construction progress against drawings and Bills of Quantities.
• Sequence construction activities based on scope, cost, and timeline.
• Coordinate across disciplines to maintain smooth progress.
• Participate in site and coordination meetings to review project status.
• Inspect materials delivered onsite for compliance with approved samples and specifications.
• Manage progress reports daily, weekly, and monthly.
• Resolve technical challenges onsite by implementing best practices.
• Ensure environmental compliance and enforce safety protocols promoting a safe working environment.
• Supervise startup works, testing, commissioning, and the handover process.
• Complete project closeout activities in accordance with contract requirements.

Qualifications and Skills

• 7 to 9 years of relevant construction engineering experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering Technology or related field.
• Proven background in civil design, drafting, and construction documentation.
• Expertise in project management, construction methodologies, and civil engineering design.
• Strong knowledge of Saudi local codes, regulations, and standards related to civil works.
• Proficiency in engineering software such as AutoCAD and Civil 3D.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to mentor and develop engineering professionals.
• Fluent English speaker; Arabic proficiency is advantageous.
• Capacity to communicate complex technical concepts clearly.
• Self-motivated with strong capability to work independently in remote settings.
