Role Overview
Located in Limerick, the Senior Analyst in AML Investor Operations will support all aspects of Anti-Money Laundering (AML) procedures for investors in compliance with applicable legislation, regulations, guidance, and best practices. This role requires close collaboration with the Transfer Agency, Client Services Departments, and other stakeholders to ensure a comprehensive AML service for Northern Trust's clients and investors.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Efficiently complete assigned AML operations tasks daily, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Participate actively in reviewing investor documentation to confirm adherence to Northern Trust’s AML policies and procedures.
- Collaborate with colleagues and management to obtain outstanding due diligence materials professionally and escalate significant issues promptly.
- Confidently evaluate adverse media and high-risk factors related to accounts, including those involving Politically Exposed Persons (PEPs).
- Refer complex or critical concerns to the AML Operations team or relevant internal/external parties for resolution.
- Address inquiries from both internal and external stakeholders efficiently and professionally, seeking management support if needed.
- Partner with management to ensure compliance with audit, risk, and regulatory standards, adapting to legislative changes as required.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge on AML regulations and best practices and contribute insights to enhance AML processes and protocols.
- Support other AML Operations workload areas when needed due to volume or absences.
Skills and Experience
- Experience or knowledge of the fund industry or a similar financial environment.
- Strong organizational capabilities paired with excellent communication skills.
- Analytical proficiency to investigate and resolve operational inquiries effectively.
- Demonstrated competence in managing risks appropriately.
- Team-oriented with a willingness to collaborate towards common objectives.
- Ability to meet tight deadlines and take ownership of assigned responsibilities.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications relevant to the role’s duties.
