Key Responsibilities

• Design, enhance, and scale a cloud-native, scalable data platform that supports AI, analytics, automation, and business processes.
• Lead the evolution from traditional batch processing to real-time and streaming data architectures.
• Implement best engineering practices to improve data platform reliability, observability, governance, security, and performance.
• Create data products and structures enabling AI agents, analytics platforms, and users to utilize trustworthy data.
• Develop semantic layers, metadata frameworks, and knowledge systems to increase data discoverability and actionability.
• Transform static analytics into dynamic AI-driven reporting, forecasting, and business intelligence solutions.

Candidate Requirements

• Minimum of 6 years' experience in data engineering, analytics engineering, or similar technical roles.
• Demonstrated expertise in designing, deploying, and managing modern cloud-based data platforms.
• Background in fast-paced SaaS or tech environments with complex project management skills.
• Experience liaising effectively with technical groups and business stakeholders.
• Hands-on experience with Databricks, dbt, Airflow, Python for data engineering tasks, SQL, and data modeling techniques.
• Deep understanding of data warehousing concepts, orchestration, integration, data quality frameworks, and governance.
• Familiarity with streaming data architectures, event-driven designs, BI tools, product analytics, CRM, or customer data platforms.
• Evident AI-first approach including leveraging AI in development workflows and automation.
• Proficiency using AI to improve debugging, testing, documentation, architectural exploration, and efficiency.
• Interest and experience in agentic systems and AI integration into data and analytics processes.
• Preferred experience with AI-native data products, semantic layers, Retrieval Augmented Generation systems, vector databases, knowledge graphs, and enabling AI agents to interact with operational data.
