Job Summary
The role of Sales Manager - Leisure is dedicated to cultivating and expanding leisure business streams, focusing primarily on luxury leisure segments and international travel consortia. The successful candidate will manage and grow relationships with high-end leisure partners such as luxury travel advisors, consortia, and exclusive travel programs to maximize room revenue and uphold the distinguished reputations of both brands in Doha.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and expand a network of luxury leisure clients, including tour operators, wholesalers, Destination Management Companies (DMCs), and prominent global consortia.
- Maintain comprehensive expertise in luxury leisure markets, particularly with consortia such as AMEX, Virtuoso, and Four Seasons Preferred Partner (FHR), understanding program criteria and factors driving production.
- Pinpoint new business opportunities across major leisure source markets.
- Negotiate contracts, preferred partner agreements, pricing, and value-added benefits aligning with brand and revenue objectives.
- Manage accurate rate dissemination, promotions, and content updates across all sales and distribution platforms.
- Represent the properties at international trade exhibitions, roadshows, sales missions, and consortia gatherings.
- Conduct engaging sales presentations, visits, and familiarization trips to educate luxury travel advisors and partners.
- Monitor market dynamics, competitor initiatives, and luxury travel demand patterns to inform strategic decisions.
- Collaborate closely with Revenue Management, Marketing, Reservations, and Operations teams to enhance pricing strategies, marketing campaigns, and effective delivery of contracted business.
- Design and implement annual sales strategies for leisure, track sales production and return on investment, and provide detailed reporting and forecasting.
- Serve as a brand ambassador, ensuring partners fully grasp brand positioning and guest experiences while guaranteeing seamless delivery of all contracted luxury benefits.
Candidate Profile
- Possess between three to five years of experience in leisure sales within luxury hotels or resorts.
- Demonstrate proven expertise working with renowned luxury consortia and premium travel programs such as Virtuoso, AMEX, and FHR.
- Have a solid understanding of global luxury travel distribution networks and travel advisor communities.
- Bring deep insights into European and American luxury travel markets, including customer behaviors, expectations, and purchasing drivers.
- Experience in the Middle East hospitality market is preferred.
- Exhibit excellent negotiation, communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
- Fluent English proficiency is required; additional languages are advantageous.
- Showcase strong commercial acumen and a strategic approach focused on enhancing luxury revenue streams.
