Safety Technician

Role overview

We are seeking a Safety Technician in Canada to support safety operations within a large public transit setting. Key accountabilities

• Monitor corrective actions tied to safety investigations and facility inspection findings, and ensure follow-up items are properly tracked.
• Support safety investigations, site inspections, and field visits, including work across different shifts as needed.
• Create and circulate safety reports, KPI dashboards, and summary analysis for leadership.
• Maintain investigation records, document repositories, and internal systems used for safety reporting and communication.
• Help develop and update safety communications, job aids, and content shared with operational teams and on internal intranet channels.
• Review safety data using basic statistical and trend-analysis methods to help guide decisions.
• Keep documentation accurate and ensure outstanding safety and compliance issues are followed through to closure.
• Contribute ideas and support improvements to safety processes, reporting methods, and program tools.
