Safety Engineer

Overview

Professional Engineers Electro Mechanical Contracting (PECO MEP) is seeking a motivated, detail-focused Entry-Level Safety Engineer to join our Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) contracting team in Dubai. This role is designed for recent engineering graduates passionate about construction site safety, looking to develop their career in Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) management by supporting daily safety operations and ensuring regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform regular site safety inspections and identify potential hazards.
• Ensure adherence to HSE policies, safety procedures, and proper use of PPE on site.
• Assist with the preparation of Risk Assessments (RA), Job Safety Analysis (JSA), and Method Statements to gauge and manage risks.
• Conduct safety inductions and lead toolbox talks to enhance worker safety awareness.
• Oversee worksite activities to confirm safe practices are followed consistently.
• Support incident reporting, investigation processes, and implementation of corrective measures.
• Maintain comprehensive HSE documentation and compile safety performance reports.
• Collaborate closely with the HSE Manager to implement safety programs and initiatives.

Qualifications and Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering disciplines such as Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, or related fields.
• Fresh graduate or up to one year of relevant experience in construction or MEP projects.
• NEBOSH IGC or IOSH safety certification is advantageous.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office applications.
• Strong communication capabilities and ability to work well in teams.
