Role Overview
Join The AA as a Roadside Rescue Mechanic in Maidstone, where you'll be an essential part of the UK's leading motoring service provider, offering assistance and reassurance to drivers in distress. This role involves working flexible shift patterns tailored to your lifestyle, averaging 40 hours per week, with varied shift options including evenings, weekends, and Bank Holidays.
Key Responsibilities
- Begin and end your shift from your home driveway, with paid time from departure to return.
- Operate independently across diverse locations and weather conditions while being part of a supportive team environment.
- Utilize your mechanical expertise and communicate clearly to deliver excellent customer service and resolve roadside issues promptly.
- Employ problem-solving skills and a calm demeanor to handle a wide variety of roadside situations efficiently.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Possession of an NVQ Level 3 qualification in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair or an equivalent certification combined with relevant experience.
- Must hold a valid category B driving licence with a maximum of six licence points.
- Ability and enthusiasm to use and adapt to new technological tools provided by the company.
- Willingness and flexibility to work varied shifts to accommodate breakdowns occurring at any time.
