As a Roadside Rescue Mechanic, you will be the trusted technician who helps stranded drivers get back on the road safely. You will represent the UK's largest motoring organization, providing dependable and friendly roadside assistance anytime, anywhere, regardless of weather conditions. Your role involves independent work across varied locations, supporting motorists with technical expertise and solving problems on the spot.

Work Schedule

You will average a 40-hour workweek with flexible shift options to accommodate your personal and professional life. Shift patterns vary, impacting your rest days and shift lengths.

Key Responsibilities

• Start and finish shifts at your home driveway, with compensated time from van departure to arrival.
• Operate independently while remaining connected to a supportive team.
• Utilize technical skills and clear communication to ensure excellent customer experiences.
• Handle diverse roadside issues calmly and effectively.

Requirements

• Possess an NVQ Level 3 in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair or equivalent qualifications plus relevant experience.
• Hold a valid full category B driving license with no more than six penalty points.
• Exhibit confidence in adopting and working with new technology provided by the employer.
• Be flexible to work varied shifts including evenings, weekends, and bank holidays.
