Overview
The Retail Store Auditor plays a critical role in verifying stock accuracy by performing physical audits across branches and warehouses. This position involves identifying mismatches in inventory, ensuring adherence to company policies, and maintaining effective stock control processes.
Responsibilities
- Perform scheduled and surprise stock inspections at multiple branch locations and storage facilities.
- Cross-check actual stock quantities versus inventory system data.
- Detect stock shortages, overages, damages, and other irregularities.
- Generate detailed audit reports outlining findings and suggest corrective actions.
- Ensure adherence to inventory management protocols and internal controls.
- Investigate discrepancies and collaborate with relevant departments for resolution.
- Track incoming and outgoing stock movements accurately.
- Validate stock transfers, returns, and adjustments with supporting documentation.
- Support management with inventory analysis and prevention of losses.
- Maintain confidentiality regarding audit results.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related disciplines.
- 1 to 3 years of experience in stock audit, inventory supervision, or warehouse operations; however, fresh graduates with relevant knowledge may be considered.
- Understanding of inventory control and stock auditing mechanisms.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and detail-oriented skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and ERP or inventory management software.
- Good communication abilities and reporting skills.
- Willingness to travel frequently for audit assignments.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in retail sectors such as electronics, furniture, or FMCG.
- Familiarity with audit procedures and internal control frameworks.

- Accuracy in stock verification tasks.
- Completion of audit schedules within stipulated timelines.

Working Conditions
This role requires regular travel to store locations and warehouses along with the capacity to physically verify stock. Flexibility in work hours is needed to conduct thorough audits.
Compensation
The monthly salary ranges between INR 15000 to INR 18000.
