Restaurant Utility Worker

We are currently seeking Restaurant Utility Workers who will maintain the overall cleanliness, upkeep, and basic maintenance of our restaurant and its equipment. This includes both routine and deep cleaning, as well as preventive maintenance tasks.

Key Responsibilities

• Complete all required Zax LLC training programs.
• Ensure the restaurant environment is safe, clean, and well maintained at all times.
• Conduct scheduled and unscheduled daily cleaning tasks and perform basic maintenance activities.
• Carry out regular cleaning and preventive maintenance of restaurant equipment.
• Inspect, operate, or test equipment to diagnose any malfunctions.
• Address minor lighting repairs and general upkeep including deep cleaning and pressure washing inside and outside the premises.
• Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders accurately.
• Proactively inspect grounds, plumbing, electrical fixtures, kitchen equipment, and building structure to prevent issues.
• Perform necessary minor repairs and maintain complete, precise maintenance records.
• Adhere to all guidelines, policies, and procedures set by Zaxby’s Franchising LLC and Zax LLC to maintain operational standards.
• Follow all safety protocols diligently and work safely.
• Demonstrate flexibility by exceeding the typical requirements of the role when necessary.
• Report all human resources and risk management issues immediately to management.
• Complete additional duties as required to support restaurant operations.

Candidate Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years old and have reliable transportation.
• Full-time candidates should be available for 32 to 40 hours weekly with a flexible schedule covering days, nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Demonstrated leadership qualities, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work cooperatively with team members.
• Able to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods; stoop, bend, crouch, climb ladders; lift, push, pull, carry up to 50 pounds including overhead lifts.
• Proficient communication skills including speaking, reading, and writing.
• Capable of maintaining visual and auditory awareness necessary to respond to the environment.
• Comfortable working in varying indoor and outdoor temperatures with exposure to food and allergens.
• Competent in safely operating restaurant equipment such as knives and fryers.
