Position Overview

An exciting opportunity is available for a well-organized, motivated individual to join the Integrated Respiratory Team at Aneurin Bevan University Health Board. The role involves delivering high-quality operational, administrative, performance, and project support to guarantee efficient respiratory service delivery across Primary Care and Community Services. Partnering with clinical and managerial teams, the Respiratory Co-ordinator will support key respiratory pathways and programs, such as the Home Oxygen Service (HOS), Spirometry Hubs, Pulmonary Rehabilitation, COPD Reviews, and respiratory audit activities.

Main Responsibilities

  • Provide operational and administrative assistance to the Integrated Respiratory Team to ensure seamless service delivery.
  • Coordinate key respiratory pathways and facilitate workstreams including HOS, Spirometry Hubs, Pulmonary Rehabilitation, COPD Reviews, and audits.
  • Supervise non-clinical staff and ensure consistent operational procedures across the respiratory services.
  • Contribute to managing the Pan-Gwent Home Oxygen Contract and monitor service performance.
  • Support quality improvement, governance, and risk management activities, including audit and policy implementation in line with local and national priorities.
  • Maintain communication and collaboration with clinicians, GP practices, patients, carers, suppliers, and partner organizations.
  • Organize and coordinate meetings, and keep detailed records and reports.
  • Ensure adherence to Health Board policies and information governance standards.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Degree or equivalent demonstrable knowledge/experience within respiratory services (essential).
  • Extensive experience with WPAS and booking systems (essential).
  • Proven strong administrative background with the ability to coordinate and establish efficient systems (essential).
  • Project delivery experience (desirable).
  • Prince 2, ILM, NVQ Level 4, or equivalent qualifications (desirable).

  • Excellent proficiency with office systems and IT tools.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
