About the Role
MoveSmart Rentals seeks a dependable and detail-conscious Cleaner to perform comprehensive cleaning services at residential rental properties. Responsibilities include move-in and move-out cleans, rental turnover cleaning, and preparing properties for listing readiness. This role requires working independently while adhering to company cleaning protocols and documenting work effectively.

MoveSmart Rentals is a technology-driven full-service leasing partner dedicated to aiding landlords in faster leasing, vacancy reduction, and thorough tenant screening. The company manages listings across MLS and over 20 additional platforms, overseeing the entire rental process from listing to move-in.
Key Responsibilities
- Attend residential rental properties for scheduled cleaning tasks including move-in, move-out, turnover, and listing preparation.
- Perform general residential cleaning up to company standards across kitchens, bathrooms, bedrooms, living spaces, hallways, appliances, floors, surfaces, cabinets, and fixtures.
- Remove dust, debris, garbage, and other leftover materials as necessary.
- Thoroughly wipe down surfaces such as counters, sinks, mirrors, doors, baseboards, and frequently touched areas.
- Vacuum, sweep, mop, and maintain floors.
- Clean inside appliances where required including refrigerators, stoves, ovens, microwaves, dishwashers, washers, and dryers.
- Identify areas needing extra cleaning, repair, junk removal, maintenance, or follow-up actions.
- Capture clear before-and-after photographs and videos documenting cleaning progress.
- Provide detailed updates including notes, photos, and videos after each service visit.
- Maintain professional communication with landlords, applicants, tenants when applicable, and internal teams.
- Strictly follow company instructions, cleaning checklists, property access protocols, and appointment details.
General Tasks May Include
- Move-in and move-out cleaning
- Rental turnover and deep cleaning
- Kitchen and bathroom cleaning
- Appliance and floor cleaning
- Dusting surfaces, cabinets, drawers, window sills, and baseboards
- Garbage and light debris removal
- Preparing properties for listing photos, showings, inspections, and move-ins
Qualifications and Requirements
- Previous experience in cleaning roles such as residential cleaner, housekeeper, or cleaning contractor
- Solid understanding of residential cleaning standards
- Access to reliable transportation for property visits
- Possession of required cleaning supplies and equipment at all appointments
- Comfortable working independently at residential rental locations
- Owns a smartphone (iPhone 13 or equivalent) with a quality camera for documentation
- Ability to capture clear photos and videos of completed work
- Capable of writing clear notes and submitting detailed updates post-visit
- Detail-oriented, punctual, professional, and reliable
- Able to follow detailed checklists, instructions, and property access guidelines
- Maintains respectful communication with landlords, applicants, tenants, and internal staff
Preferred Attributes
- Experience with move-in, move-out, or rental turnover cleaning processes
- Familiarity with cleaning properties for listing photos, inspections, and showings
- Skill in recognizing damages, maintenance issues, junk removal needs, pest problems, or unsafe conditions
- Experience working independently in the field for property management, leasing, or cleaning companies
