Position Summary
The role is for a Chemical Biologist working on a contract basis with a remote setup, compensated between $40 and $60 per hour. This position involves the design and creation of small molecules, chemical probes, and compounds to study and influence key biological systems.
Core Responsibilities
- Create and synthesize small molecules and chemical probes to explore and manipulate significant biological pathways.
- Use advanced chemical techniques to selectively tag and alter proteins, nucleic acids, and other cellular biomolecules.
- Develop and validate innovative methods to investigate post-translational and chemical modifications critical for artificial intelligence bioscience data sets.
- Collaborate in developing criteria for data generation, annotation, and quality assessment to improve AI model training.
- Interpret and analyze experimental results, preparing clear, well-structured reports for multidisciplinary teams.
- Propose new strategies to integrate chemical biology findings into AI-led research projects.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Chemical Biology, Chemistry, Biology, or closely related disciplines.
- Proven skills in designing and synthesizing both natural and synthetic compounds.
- Practical experience with chemical and biochemical methods focused on studying biological macromolecules and cellular activities.
- Deep understanding of biological systems and molecular interactions essential for therapeutic development or biomedical research.
- Effective written and oral communication skills with the ability to document experimental procedures and outcomes.
- Ability to analyze intricate datasets and convert scientific information into actionable guidance for AI training models.
