Role Overview

The People team at Waymo is dedicated to attracting and nurturing top talent. We seek a Recruiter based in the UK to join this hybrid role reporting to the Recruiting Lead for Onboard Engineering. This role involves full-cycle recruiting activities with a focus on fostering a fair, inclusive, and accessible hiring process.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee all phases of recruiting, including candidate sourcing, ensuring equitable and inclusive hiring practices.
• Build and maintain collaborative relationships with hiring managers to clarify role requirements, advise on candidate levels, and aid in making informed hiring decisions.
• Conduct recruitment data analysis and assess talent to refine hiring strategies and improve efficiency.
• Ensure outstanding candidate management and care throughout the process.
• Manage offer extensions, negotiations, and closures, providing strategic recommendations to hiring managers and stakeholders.

Candidate Qualifications

• At least 8 years' experience in full lifecycle technical recruitment, ideally within international organizations.
• Knowledgeable about software engineering recruitment profiles.
• Understand technical terminology and concepts effectively.
• Demonstrated record of successful candidate closures.
• Experience directly collaborating with senior engineering leadership.
• Proven capability managing and enhancing recruitment processes.
• Experience working in startups or fast-paced environments.
• Exceptional communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Background in recruiting machine learning engineers.
• Interest in robotics, autonomy, and machine learning sectors.
• Experience hiring engineers for leading global companies.
• At least 5 additional years of technical recruiting experience with international firms.

Additional Information

This is a remote position; however, Waymo's ability to employ remotely may vary by location. Candidates should discuss preferred remote work locations with their recruiter during the interview process.

Compensation and Benefits

This full-time role offers a base salary ranging from £125,000 to £131,000 GBP, dependent on job specifics such as location, experience, education, and skills. Employees are also eligible for a discretionary annual bonus, equity incentive plans, and an extensive benefits package subject to meeting eligibility criteria.
