Role Overview

We are seeking a skilled Rebar Checker with over four years of experience to meticulously review and validate rebar drawings and Bar Bending Schedules (BBS) to ensure compliance with applicable standards, predominantly those of the US and Canada. The role requires collaboration with project teams and detailers to resolve discrepancies and deliver precise and timely checked drawings.

Key Responsibilities

• Verify accuracy and standards compliance of rebar drawings and BBS as per project requirements.
• Apply knowledge of US and Canadian rebar detailing standards during reviews.
• Conduct project evaluations and coordinate effectively with internal departments to achieve on-schedule project completion.
• Work closely with detailing teams and project staff to address inconsistencies and discrepancies.
• Guarantee high quality, accurate, and prompt submission of reviewed drawings.
• Utilize RebarCAD, CADS RC, or RGS CAD proficiently for checking activities.

Qualifications and Skills

• Minimum of four years' experience in rebar checking or detailing roles.
• Thorough understanding of rebar standards in the US and Canada.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD alongside specialized software such as RebarCAD, CADS RC, or RGS CAD.
• Expert-level experience with rebar shop drawings and bar bending schedules.
• Solid grasp of structural drawings and related specifications.
• Exceptional attention to detail and precision in work.
• Strong interpersonal and communication abilities for effective coordination.
• Capacity to operate independently while adhering to deadlines.
