Job description
Overview
The DrillOps Field Deployment Lead plays a crucial role at the rig site, possessing comprehensive familiarity with the rig environment and in-depth understanding of the IT systems supporting drilling operations. This role is accountable for overseeing the rig's IT infrastructure, maintaining software updates, managing inventory of IT equipment, handling data and ensuring smooth communication between the rig site and remote operation centers. Familiarity with data acquisition and core services technologies at the wellsite is essential. Additionally, knowledge of Orchestra and Prism systems based in the town is required.
Primary Responsibilities
- Establish and ensure stable data connectivity between the wellsite and town networks.
- Administer and control user access rights and permissions to relevant systems.
- Identify and resolve issues related to IT infrastructure, including RCS and Coda systems, sensor devices, cabling, and other associated components.
- Maintain inventory records of all IT equipment.
- Ensure proper functioning by restarting virtual machines as necessary.
