Job description
About the Role
This internship role at Carbon Craft Design Private Limited, Bangalore, focuses on research and development of sustainable and carbon-upcycled building materials. The internship spans either 6 months or 1 year and invites freshers or students holding a Diploma or Undergraduate degree in Civil Engineering. Candidates will participate in hands-on testing, sample preparation, product trials, and meticulous data documentation alongside the R&D team.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct literature review and gather data on sustainable and carbon-upcycled materials.
- Assist in preparing material samples and test specimens assessing strength, durability, and overall performance.
- Carry out laboratory tasks, including material mixing, measurements, and equipment operation.
- Perform fundamental tests such as density, water absorption, surface finish, and visual inspections.
- Organize and maintain comprehensive test data and experimental records in spreadsheets.
- Contribute to drafting R&D reports, test documentation, and technical presentations.
- Support product trials and on-site demonstration activities under experienced supervision.
- Coordinate with design and business teams to align technical inputs with product requirements.
- Manage materials, tools, equipment, and laboratory supplies for the R&D unit.
- Maintain laboratory safety, cleanliness, and organizational standards.
- Assist in daily coordination and documentation of ongoing R&D activities.

- Basic knowledge of construction materials and testing methods.
- Strong interest in sustainable materials, circular economy principles, and climate technology.
- Proactive approach to hands-on laboratory work and material experimentation.
- Competence in data recording and meticulous documentation.
- Capacity to learn quickly, conduct experiments, and collaborate effectively within a team.
