Role Summary
The Radiology Technician position is a full-time, on-site role at Shifa Al Bawadi Medical Service Co in Jeddah. The technician is responsible for conducting diagnostic imaging procedures including X-rays and other radiologic exams while ensuring compliance with clinical guidelines and radiation safety protocols. Duties involve patient preparation and positioning, operating imaging equipment to acquire quality diagnostic images, documenting procedures, maintaining equipment integrity, and cooperating with clinicians to support patient care. The role requires clear communication with patients to explain procedures and create a safe, reassuring environment, alongside strict adherence to institutional regulations and healthcare standards.
Requirements and Qualifications
- Diploma or bachelor's degree in Radiological Technology, Medical Imaging, or an equivalent recognized qualification.
- Current professional registration and classification with the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties.
- Possession of a Radiation Protection Officer (RPO) License from the Saudi Nuclear and Radiological Regulatory Commission (NRRC).
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is mandatory.
- Experience in healthcare settings is advantageous.
- Additional licenses or training relevant to specific imaging modalities may be required.
