Job Overview
Due to business growth, the company seeks an experienced Quality Lead to oversee the site's Quality Management System. This role involves comprehensive responsibility for quality assurance, food safety, and regulatory compliance, collaborating closely with senior leadership.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and enhance the site's Quality Management System (QMS) on an ongoing basis.
- Lead the HACCP team and ensure the effectiveness of HACCP, food safety, and quality management systems.
- Coordinate audits including BRCGS, Bord Bia, customer, and regulatory inspections, and implement corrective and preventive measures.
- Investigate customer complaints through root cause analysis and deploy corrective actions.
- Manage microbiological and chemical testing programs, monitor product quality, and maintain calibration schedules.
- Provide food safety training and promote quality awareness across the organization.
- Generate KPI reports and communicate quality performance outcomes to senior management.
- Support new product development initiatives and continuous improvement projects.
- Collaborate with Production, senior management, and regulatory authorities to uphold top quality standards.
Candidate Requirements
- Degree or relevant qualification in Food Science, Food Technology, Quality Management, or a related field.
- 3 to 5 years of experience in a quality-focused role within the food manufacturing sector.
- Comprehensive understanding of HACCP, GMP, and Quality Management Systems.
- Proven experience managing BRCGS, customer, or regulatory audits.
- Strong problem-solving capabilities, including root cause analysis and effective communication skills.
- Ability to work autonomously as well as collaboratively across different departments.
