Role Overview
The Public Relations Officer role is a full-time, on-site position in Abu Dhabi, tasked with designing, executing, and overseeing PR activities to elevate Gulf Power's public image and market presence. Responsibilities include composing media releases, arranging interviews and press briefings, and nurturing relationships with journalists and media representatives. The position manages corporate communications, develops content for both internal and external platforms, and supports reputation and crisis management efforts. Collaboration with leadership and project teams is essential to showcase company successes and maintain alignment with Gulf Power's core values, safety codes, and technical expertise.
Key Responsibilities
- Administer government interactions involving MOHRE, ICP, GDRFA, Economic Department, and other official agencies.
- Oversee processes related to visa applications, renewals, cancellations, work permits, labor cards, Emirates IDs, and related documentation.
- Coordinate company and employee-related documentation with government bodies, ensuring timely completion.
- Maintain detailed records of employee visas, permits, IDs, and other official documents.
- Support company registrations, license renewals, approvals, and government portal transactions.
- Ensure compliance with UAE government regulations in all official processes.
- Track application progress, approvals, payments, and outstanding government tasks.
- Provide HR and Management with regular updates on government-related matters.
Candidate Requirements
- Prior professional experience in the UAE as a PRO or Government Relations Officer.
- Sound understanding of UAE government processes and online portals.
- Strong communication and coordination capabilities.
- Ability to work autonomously and handle multiple responsibilities.
- Possession of a UAE driving license is preferred.
- UAE Nationals or Arabic native speakers with good proficiency in English are eligible.
