The Public Relations Manager is a newly created position within the Children's Health Foundation (CHF). Key Responsibilities

  • Create engaging media angles and human-interest stories to maintain a strong, consistent brand presence.
  • Ensure brand voice uniformity and compliance across all PR materials, working with CHI Communications to reduce reputational risks.
  • Plan, organize, and deliver impactful events, media experiences, and site activations to elevate awareness and stakeholder relations.
  • Spearhead the collection and sensitive handling of patient and family stories that illustrate CHF’s impact, transforming them into empathetic content that drives visibility and fundraising.
  • Lead the awards strategy by identifying recognition opportunities and preparing high-quality award submissions that highlight CHF excellence.
  • Develop efficient workflows for briefing, reviewing, and approving communications assets, balancing quality and efficiency.
  • Track and analyze key performance indicators for PR, awards, and events, providing actionable reports to inform strategies.
  • Manage daily budget allocations to maximize cost-efficiency and ensure strong return on investment.

Qualifications & Experience

  • At least 7 years’ professional PR experience with a proven history of executing successful campaigns and meeting income or performance goals.
  • Demonstrated leadership in managing and developing teams to enhance output quality and performance.
  • Ability to cultivate and sustain valuable relationships with colleagues, media, and CHI stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, capable of producing persuasive press releases, proposals, and presentations.
  • Strong expertise in people management including coaching, performance evaluation, and team development.
  • Strategic mindset with acute attention to detail and commitment to high standards.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, work efficiently in a fast-paced setting, and meet deadlines.
  • Experience in budget management and delivering significant ROI.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite applications.
  • Passion for children’s health and strong alignment with CHF’s mission and values.
