About the Role
HyLand Properties is looking for a dependable and proactive Property Maintenance & Safety Attendant to join our team in Abbotsford and support property management across the Lower Mainland and Fraser Valley. This full-time position involves maintaining safe, orderly, and well-kept residential and commercial buildings.
Key Responsibilities
- Keep buildings, surrounding grounds, and parking areas clean and orderly.
- Dispose of garbage, debris, and any abandoned materials responsibly.
- Identify safety hazards and take appropriate measures to mitigate concerns.
- Carry out minor maintenance and repair tasks as needed.
- Perform seasonal duties such as light snow removal, salting walkways, window washing, and general groundskeeping.
- Conduct routine inspections and compile reports and documentation.
Required Qualifications and Skills
- Previous experience in property maintenance, building operations, cleaning, caretaking, or security-related roles.
- Ability to work autonomously while managing multiple priorities efficiently.
- Strong interpersonal and customer service communication abilities.
- Possession of a valid Class 5 Driver’s Licence and access to a dependable vehicle.
- Readiness to work outdoors regardless of weather conditions and ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Basic familiarity with computers and mobile devices.
- Having a BC Security Workers Licence with Security Guard endorsement is preferred.
- Certifications in First Aid and WHMIS are advantageous.
